SFPet Academy Course Challenges – Worms
IBW - Worms May 1st 2025 - July 31st 2025
This quarter we will be featuring four (4) new courses.
Worms may seem simple, but they play a crucial role in maintaining healthy ecosystems. Earthworms, for example, are natural soil engineers, aerating the ground as they burrow and helping decompose organic matter into nutrient-rich fertilizer. This process improves soil quality, benefiting plants, animals, and even humans. Some worms also have fascinating adaptations, like regenerating lost body parts or thriving in extreme environments.
Studying worms helps us understand biodiversity, environmental health, and even medical science. Who knew these tiny creatures had such a big impact?
