July was a busy and heartwarming month for STARFLEET Petfleet! From launching our brand-new custom pet collars to celebrating our annual Best in Class photo contest, the fleet was buzzing with activity. Members shared touching stories, adorable photos, and inspiring moments that reminded us why our pets are such an important part of the crew. Let’s take a look at the highlights.
STARFLEET Petfleet Custom Collars
This July, STARFLEET Petfleet rolled out something every cadet, captain, and companion will want — custom Star Trek–themed pet collars that let your furry (or feathered… or scaled!) crew wear their rank with pride.
Available in Command Gold, Science Blue, or Operations Red, these high-quality collars come in sizes from 6 to 24 inches to fit everything from small tribbles to large targ-sized canines. Each collar proudly displays custom rank pips from Ensign all the way up to Fleet Captain — so your pet can climb the ranks right alongside you!

2025 Best in Class Photo Contest
We held our annual fleet-wide Best in Class photo contest. While entry numbers were lower than previous years, likely because the International Conference wasn’t virtual, the quality and creativity of the submissions didn’t disappoint.

- Celebrated Disability Pride Month, sharing Nero’s story of living boldly with a facial deformity.
- Mushu’s recovery update – stitches removed, healing well, enjoying TNG and snacks.
- New member intros — welcome Landan Hicks, David Campbell, Bart Stavisky, Angelique Anderson, Dave D Vincent, Kenny B-Smith, Maude Tanguay, and Shannon Newsome.
- Completed the IBW – Worms Academy Challenge for the quarter.
- Remembered Shadow, a beloved and loyal “Sargent” who crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
- Shared Nero’s new vegan mission to manage Cystinuria.
- Celebrated Harrison’s first “Gotcha Day” and welcomed Taffeta and Chiffon of the USS Indiana.
