Enter your STARFLEET Petfleet mascot for the Artemis II Lunar Mission
The Artemis II lunar mission is heading to the Moon in 2025, and NASA wants your help choosing a Zero Gravity Indicator (ZGI) mascot to float aboard the Orion spacecraft! In true STARFLEET spirit, Petfleet is launching a fun, creative companion contest inviting STARFLEET groups to tell us why their mascot should boldly go… all the way to lunar orbit!
This is your chance to imagine your group mascot joining a real NASA mission and representing STARFLEET in space. Whether your mascot is a cat in uniform, a warp-capable tardigrade, or a fuzzy pink Tribble with tech upgrades, we want to hear their story!
Mission Briefing (a.k.a. Contest Details)
WHO: Any STARFLEET group can participate—chapters, departments (like Sciences or Medical), or Regions. Mascots must represent a team or unit. See more mascot guidelines at petfleet.sfi.org.
WHAT: Create and submit your official mascot for consideration as a Zero Gravity Indicator (ZGI) entry to NASA’s Artemis II contest.
WHERE: Submit your entry through the form at the bottom of this page. Finalists will be entered into the official NASA ZGI design challenge hosted on Freelancer.com.
