This quarter we will be featuring four (4) new courses.

This quarter’s courses invite you to dive into the mesmerizing realms of sponges and corals—some of the ocean’s most ancient architects and quietly complex lifeforms. Prepare to uncover the secrets of creatures that build underwater cities, filter the seas, and thrive without brains or bones. From vibrant reefs to microscopic marvels, your mission begins here.

Here is how to take the course:

1. Log into your account at: es.sfi.org 
2. Go to the IBS Sponges & ICC Corals Course folder.

You will find the following folders with subjects relating to that course. These folders are here:

• IBS Sponges Manual
• IBS-101 – Sponges, Part 1
• IBS-102 – Sponges, Part 2
• ICC Corals Manual
• ICC-101 – Corals, Part 1
• ICC-102 – Corals, Part 2

After you finish all exams, be sure to enter the information with a copy of your certificate(s) below.

🗓️ Submit your results by: January 31st, 2026! 

SPECIAL AWARDS:

• Gold Certificate: Distinction in all relevant courses.
• Silver Certificate: Honours in each course with at least one Distinction.
• Standard SFPet Academy certificate: if you Pass for completing the courses.
