1. Major Projects / Efforts
Transition to Messenger Communities:
In response to Facebook’s retirement of group chats, STARFLEET Petfleet successfully migrated to Messenger Communities. This ensured continuous engagement and improved organization for our topic-based discussions. The new platform has been well received, with members quickly adapting and maintaining our lively conversations about pets and the fleet.

Academy Challenge:
We wrapped up our Cephalopods and Gastropods Academy Challenge for the quarter and launched the next round featuring Sponges and Corals, encouraging members to expand their Star Trek and animal knowledge through STARFLEET Academy.

STARFLEET Petfleet Custom Collars Relaunch:
Our popular custom pet collars returned this month through the STARFLEET Petfleet order form. Members can once again outfit their pets in style while representing the fleet. The response has been positive, with multiple orders placed during the campaign.

October Pet Photo Contest – “Pets in Costume”:
Our annual Halloween photo contest was a huge success. Members shared adorable and creative photos of their pets in costume, adding a dose of fun to the season. We also honoured members whose pets embarked on their Final Mission to the Rainbow Bridge, continuing our tradition of compassion and remembrance.

November Newsletter Released:
The latest issue of Pet Tails from the Final Frontier launched on November 1st, showcasing member stories, photos, and highlights from the past quarter.

2. Issues & Problems
The Director has been less active this month due to family matters; however, the command and newsletter teams have done an excellent job maintaining operations and community engagement. The continued activity across events, contests, and communications demonstrates strong teamwork and dedication across the auxiliary.
No major operational issues were reported during the transition to Messenger Communities or the ongoing collar campaign.
3. Resources Needed
A financial update is requested from the Chief Financial Officer to confirm the current profit status from Quartermaster product sales. Once confirmed, we’ll determine if Petfleet has reached a sufficient balance to fund future promotional projects and community initiatives.
4. Accomplishments

Successfully transitioned all member engagement to Messenger Communities with minimal disruption.

Completed and launched two consecutive Academy Challenges.

Relaunched official STARFLEET Petfleet Collars, boosting member pride and visibility.

Hosted a vibrant and inclusive Halloween Pet Photo Contest with dozens of creative entries.

Published another engaging issue of Pet Tails from the Final Frontier, celebrating our members and their companions.

Continued to support members through Final Mission certificates and community compassion.
Despite some reduced leadership availability, October was another strong month for STARFLEET Petfleet, marked by creativity, collaboration, and compassion across the fleet.
